If this i your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be encouraged today by this wonderful verse from Psalm 55 Verse 1:
Psalm 55 Verse 1 {NLT}:
“Listen to my prayer, O god. Do not ignore my cry for help! Please listen and answer me, for i am overwhelmed by my troubles”.
And from the Message Bible:
“Open your ears. God, to my prayer; don’t pretend you don’t hear me knocking. Come close and whisper your name. I really need you.”
King David knew the upside downs in life.
We all at times find ourselves in the midst of troubles. If you are like me, my first thought would be, ‘How can i get out of this?’. But I have come to realize that, if God has lead me to it, He will lead me through it. The big question we need to ask ourselves, is ‘what can I learn out of this.
King David had learned some strategic lessons while hiding in the wilderness from Saul, but in his later years, he had some more important lessons to learn. None of us are too old to learn. Our hearts long for a safe and peaceful refuge, far from the problems and burdens of life. Jesus has provided such a place, Hebrew 4 verse 16:{NLT}
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our Gracious God. There we will receive His mercy and we will find Grace to help us when we need it most”.
Life does often not always go as we plan. a fact for which we should be continually grateful. If it were not for those interruptions to our schedules and plans, if there were no things challenging us from beyond the horizons of the known, if things do not fall apart around us and upon us from time to time, how then would we know the work of mystery and Grace, which will make our lives, even more interesting and beautiful.
The present ages concern with insurance and security is fundamentally misplaced. In our efforts to prevent anything going wrong, we may actually be confining ourselves to mediocrity. Change is most likely in some cases painful, there is no doubt. But pain is a consequence of life, and the lack of change is evidence of organisms which have ceased to be alive.
Nothing on our journey through life is worth undertaking can be insulated from the unexpected, indeed, on the winds of the unexpected and difficult challenges, comes all that is worthy of pursuit.
After all we have, His promise in everything we go through, “I will never leave you or forsake you”Hebrews 13 verse 5:
