It is not the possession of things that is the trouble, it is being possessed by the need for possessions.

Proverbs 3 verse : {Message Bible}: “Honor God with everything you own; give him the first and best”.

Proverbs 11 verse 28 {Message Bible}: “A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stump; a God-shaped life is a flourishing tree”.

The story of a man who almost had it all. He was young, well-mannered,well-educated and quite rich. He was also sincere, and honest in all he did. He was a likeable young man, because certainly Jesus found him likeable.

Read about him in The Story of The rich Young Ruler Mark 10 verse 21; He was a young man who had everything except eternal life. He could have had that too, if he was prepared to do what Jesus asked him. In coming to Jesus, the young man found he came to a fork in the road. He had to choose which one he would serve his wealth or Jesus. He chose his wealth.

Jesus never condemns people for being rich, but Jesus does warn people about what He calls ‘The deceitfulness of riches’ Jesus was well aware of the powerful, but ultimate fatal attraction of money as a substitute for God.

Matthew 6 verse 33: {Message Bible}

“Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative,god-provision. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday  human concerns will be met”.

Everyday is a new day. Everyday brings challenges.Everyday is a good day to be Kingdom living people.
