Faith In Action “Kingdom Doing”

There is a saying around about churches, if you find a perfect church we will not  be let in, because none of us are perfect, but we will never find a perfect church for that very reason. But we can find a perfect community we will be let into, that is the Kingdom of God.

John 3 verses 16and 17: {Amplified Bible}: V16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten [unique] Son, so that WHOEVER believes in [trusts, clings to, relies on] Him shall not perish—come to destruction, be lost—but have eternal [everlasting] life.”

V17: “For God did not send The Son into the world in order to judge— to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on–the world; but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”

The future for the church is that need to be open communities where anyone can come and hear God speak. Churches need to be places where people can repent and turn to Christ. They need to be havens where people can be honest and find a fellowship which affirms our need of the Savior.

Churches are to be communities where we can name our struggles and weaknesses, without fear of the condescension of the self-righteous. Churches are to be where love flourishes, and in our differences, we still strive to love those who name Jesus as Lord and Savior.

But Churches are the Body of Believers who come together for fellowship  corporate worship and discipleship, so unless we ourselves become more open and accepting, this can not happen. We are all sinners saved by Grace, we remain people who are capable of sin {wrong-doings}, but with the help of loving communities and places where we never feel condemned, we can grow.

The church should never be a place that tolerates wrong-doings {sin}. we ourselves should never lower our standards on sin, but we should be people who understand, we live in a fallen world, and the standard of that world revolves around is sin against God. God understood and sent His Son, and anyone who accepts the Son Christ Jesus, and genuinely says sorry, is accepted into the Kingdom of God, where Christ Jesus is King.

Everything we do in and for the Kingdom of God is never about Us, it is always about God, and if we let this rule our lives, maybe we would do things differently, in our lives and in the church.

God Bless.
