PROMISES OF PEACE (2)
Last week I wrote of the peace of God in our lives being our blessings. There are many to be found in psalms of 107 and 108. Just reading them brings more of his peace as we absorb the words.
Psalm 107: from verse 31- ‘thank the Lord for his steadfast love-for his wonderful works to the sons of men- for praise among the assembly of elders -He turns rivers to springs of water into thirsty ground- turns deserts into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water where He lets the hungry dwell to establish a city to sow fields and plant vineyards multiply greatly to get a fruitful yield from his blessing and HE does not let the cattle die of disease. HE raises up the needy out of affliction and makes their families like flocks so the upright observe and are glad as all wickedness stops its mouth.
PSALM 108: I will sing and make melody! Awake my soul-I will awake the dawn I will give thanks, I will sing praises to thee among the nations. For thy steadfast love is great above the Heavens reaching to the clouds thy glory over all the earth. GOD HAS PROMISED IN HIS SANCTUARY! I will praise for he stands at the right hand of the needy. ACCORDING TO WHAT? HIS steadfast love that never changes and never will. His steadfast love is the ultimate power to the promises of HIS peace, HIS gift to us of his love and compassion will be a promise to us never to be broken. Won’t you accept that his steadfast love is forever for you and to you? Let us partake of that love every day and be blessed.
