Faith In Action ‘Old Habit To Overcome’

The Apostle Paul addresses problems in the Corinthian church and answers questions from the church.

The followers in Corinth are mainly concerts from idol worship, so they have a lot to learn about God. So through Paul God teaches the people the believers in Corinth to look at the issues they are struggling with in the light of the wonderful salvation they have accepted.

The ancient city of Corinth is steeped in Greek philosophy, idol worship and sexual immorality. The new believers there have much to learn about Christ. There is a way for a person to live where they follow the God’s Spirit, and there is a way for a person to live that is simply human, a kind of intellectual self care that focuses on a persons inner life without acknowledging God.

Paul message for the people not only here is to be Spirit Driven, because with the Spirit, they have access to God’s very mind.

i Corinthians 2 verse 10:-11 and 16

V 10: “Now God has revealed them to us by the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the deep things of God.”

V 11: “For who among men {woman} knows the concerns of a man {woman} except the spirit of man {woman} that is in him {her]? In the same way, no one knows the concerns of God except the Spirit of God”

V 16: “For: who has known the Lord’s mind that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.”

Through God’s Spirit, He gives us open access to His mind, the endless brilliance of the deep things of God.

From the moment we believe in Jesus, we began a journey of exploring God’s loving kindness. This journey will last through eternity because with Our Infinite Lord and Friend, there is always more to delightfully explore.

If we are stuck in a rut of worldly thinking , we should change our focus, to all that Our Lord and Our Friend has for us, it is a matter of learning and growing.in Him.

God Bless.
