Sunday Encouragement

encouragement

If this is your day for rest, like us all you still need encouragement. Be Encouraged today by these wonderful verses from Psalm 9 Verse 9 and 10:

Psalm 9 verse 9 and 10:

V9: “The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble”.

V10: “Those who know Your Name trust in You because You have not abandoned those who seek You, Lord”.

To say that God will not abandon those who seek Him, needs more explanation. The verse does not say that those who seek Him always get what they want. If we look at the story of David. David could speak as if God had forsaken him when his prayers were not answered {Psalm 22 verse 1}

But even when God delays in answering prayers, or does not answer, Our Lord and Our friend is still dealing faithfully with his people for our ultimate well-being. If Our Lord and Our Friend always answered our prayers automatically, we as His worshipers would experience little development in our faith.

Things happen along the way that don’t make any sense to us at all, at times.We experience pain and sadness that comes with living in a fallen, messed-up world. As we seek Our lord and our Friend, we begin to see a purpose in our troubles.

Faith in Him is expected of us, for He has purpose in everything. He is just, He is righteous, and He is good. Proverbs 3 verse 5:

“Trust in The Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding”.

Troubles may come, but in everything we may go through we have His Promise He will never leave us or forsake us. {Hebrew 13 verse 5}.
