Weekend Inspiration

When we see the word ‘wall’ what do we imagine?  Stone laid  with mortar, solid and strong, for protection and for privacy?  In the OLD TESTAMENT, many walls were built to keep out armies of enemies from warring tribes but yet were torn down and became rubble. However, God intervened and proclaimed that these walls be rebuilt in his holy command and in his name. Time after time his people toiled in replacing walls for their God over many months, even years.

In our own lives we also build walls, emotional walls, relationship walls, career walls and walls of sorrow.  To name some walls you may experience – bitterness, disconnection from others, caring what others think of you, abandonment, guilt, low self-esteem, shame, sinfulness, secrets and lies. These walls keep out the light God wants to share with you.

Don’t you think that God knows what you are going through?

Revelations 21 verses1 to 4:  God’s invitations to us are because he sees our potential spiritually and invites us to experience life and love where his forgiveness is free. ‘FOR the old order of things has passed away.  I am making everything new.’  In verse 6, ‘To him who is thirsty I will give to drink WITHOUT COST the spring of THE WATER OF LIFE. He who overcomes will inherit all this and I will be his God and he will be my son.’ You see, God views your spiritual potential above all else.  For instance, the woman at the well was sought out by Jesus because he knew her spiritual potential when he told her to go and sin no more knowing that she would spread the word of his compassion and HE will do the same for you.

Be Blessed
