God’s Presence

Psalm 139 celebrates the fact that God is present wherever David goes, or even imagines going. First David looks up at the sky, then down towards the ground. Then he looks east towards ‘the wings of the dawn,’ and west toward the Mediterranean Sea.

Wherever David thinks of going, he has the certainty that God will be with him in that place. we too can be comforted as David was, by the Presence of Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend. It comes from a transformed attitude, through repentance to Him, and acceptance of Him.

We just can’t come to Him and expect our lives to be the same. We are coming to A God that will stick by us, no matter what we go through. It is not just coming to a religious concept, it is coming to the King Of Kings.

Lets stop and celebrate right now and to thank Our Lord and Our Friend, for His ever-present, watchful care and concern over and around us,

Living in His Presence has blessing, but it also has responsibilities.

Psalm 139 is Subtitled, ‘The All-knowing, Ever-Present God, let us reflect on verse 1 to 12: {Message Bible}

“God. investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. I’m an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I’m thinking. You know when I leave and when I get back; I’m never out of your sight. You know everything I’m going to say before I start the first sentence. I look behind me and You’re there, then up ahead and You’re there too— Your reassuring presence, coming and going. This is too much, too wonderful— I can’t take it all in”.

Are we game to ask Our Lord and Our Friend, to investigate our lives?

Are we an open book to Him, or are there things in our lives, we would rather Him not know about?

He see as we are anyway, He knows our struggles, our temptations and our doubts. Hebrews 4 verse 16: {Message Bible}

“So let’s walk right up to Him and get what He is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help”.

We know He is Ever present {Omnipresent}, but He has a special place in His presence, where we can go for help from His Grace.

God Bless.

God Bless.
