This week’s ‘Weekend Inspiration’ comes from out good friend of the ministry John H. He is a;ways passing through to encourage us here, and He and OFj, spent a lot of time in fellowship yesterday, after OFJ second medical treatment.
So enjoy this article, by a man who really doses walk by faith, and also uses his faith to be an encourager to many. With much appreciation to our dear friend, we give you his article. and hope it also brings great encouragement to your lives.
God has promised to preserve us, to keep us, so as to present us faultless before Him when He comes to take us with Him at the last day. We are kept by the power of God, not by our own power.
Jude 24: ‘Now to Him Who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His Glory with exceeding joy’.
Philippians 1 verseb6: ‘Being confident of this very thing that He Who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ’.
2 Timothy 1 verse 12: ‘for I know I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that day’.
What a comfort! I wasn’t saved by my good works and i don’t stay saved by my good works, because I’m preserved and kept by the power of God, not by my own power. saving Faith is evident by good works, and this includes all those good works which God wants us to do, and which He has empowered us to do through Him. He does all the work through us, so He should get all the Glory. That’s fair, isn’t it?
Hebrews 9 verse 14: says that, ‘the blood of Christ cleanses our conscience from dead works to serve the living God’.
What’ s more, we have the promise of eternal security. John 3 verse 16: ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that ‘Whosoever’ believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’
To believe in Him means to receive Him. To receive in Him is to trust Him, that He really does have wonderful plans and purpose for our lives. Jeremiah 29 v 11;
