2 Chronicles 26 verse 16:
“But when he became strong, he grew arrogant and it led to his own destruction”.
What a sad story about King Uzziah, which we can read about in 2 Kings 15 verse 17.
How devastating, because Uzziah’s fame and greatness, didn’t come from his own deeds or works, God Himself gave Uzziah wonderful success, as lonf as he sought the Lord.
To have it all, and to lose it all. We have been given such a wonderful gift, ‘Salvation’, which is being accepted into God’s family. We have more than we are entitled to.
Our Lord and Our Friend, gave it all, so that we might have the best He has for us. The saddest thing we could do, is to turn to ourselves, and leave Him out.
There are many stories int The Bible, and they are there for our help, our encouragement and to help us grow in the blessings He has wonderfully bestowed on us.
Let us learn from the story of Uzziah in 2 Kings, and humbly say, “We will humbly keep The Lord as King of our hearts, our minds and all we are.
God will never give His rightful place as King and Lord of our lives to another, not even to us.
lesson from the story of Uzziah, we can take, let us not be like Uzziah, and let us humbly enjoy whatever, the Lord gives us and always keep Him on the throne of our hearts.
