Peace That Passes Understanding

Peace

To be a believer in Jesus doesn’t make us weak or a person looking for a crutch to prop up one life. To be a believer, there are gifts (supernatural) available to us.

Peace John 20:21

Peace be with you, as the Father has sent me, I am sending you.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace and He was giving them His peace. The idea of peace, ‘Shalom’ has a rich Old Testament background. It can simply mean the absence of war, but more often it implies a sense of wholeness and general well being.

For individual believers, peace is a ‘fruit of the Spirit’ in their lives as they rely upon God and live for Him. Clearly this peace Jesus left with us which we experience in our relationship with God is good news for the others too. The good news of the cross of what Jesus has done can bring peace and overcome all barriers today.

Ephesians 2:17

When Jesus came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who are near.

Peace is a fruit of the Spirit. Come eat and enjoy this fruit as we serve Him.

Christs’ followers have a responsibility to display and deliver the message of peace. This is why Jesus adds, “AS THE FATHER SENT ME, I AM SENDING YOU”.

Remember, we are His hands and feet.

Shalom be with you.
