Reflective Moment ‘Contentment In Storms’

away

There are times in life, when circumstances are against us. there was a song we use to sing in Children’s Church, ‘‘With Christ In my vessel I can smile at the storm’.

We are able to set the sails of our souls and use even the adverse winds. Being a Christian, does not offer us exemption from sorrow and pain, but what it does offer us is the power not merely to bear it, but also use it.

The secret of using adverse times to further us is one of life’s greatest secrets. The lesson is to take hold, of the fact that nothing, is bigger than our God. We must accept that bad things can happen to us even though we are Kingdom people.

James 1 verses 2 to 4:

Verse 2: ‘ Consider it a great joy, my brothers {and sisters}, whenever you experience various trials”,

V3: Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance”,

V4: But endurance must do its complete work, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing”.

God has created us with the capacity, to carry everything that comes upon us, but not on our own, but with Him in the vessels of our lives. He also cannot fully work out His purpose in our heart, if we only expect the good things from life.

God Bless.
