Faith In Action ‘Hunger After More Of God’

hunger

Matthew 5 verse 6; “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, because they will be filled.”

And the same verse again but from the Message Bible.

“You are blessed when you’re worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you will ever eat.”

If physical hunger is a set of feelings that leads people to search for food, then spiritual hunger is a set of experiences and longing that compels people to search for God.

Just as our body needs food to survive, our spirit needs God to thrive. A divine hunger drives one to find out more about God. {Our Lord and Our Friend}. Our spiritual appetites can only be completely quelled by God, but how do we partake on something we cannot see, touch and taste.

Hearing and experiencing God {Our Lord and Our Friend} rather than literally eating, satisfies and is the sustenance to overcome spiritual hunger.

John 6 verse 35 “‘I am the bread of life’, Jesus told them. No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry {spiritually}, and no one who believes in Me will ever be thirty again {spiritually}.'”

Our spiritual hunger groans loudest when we feel the furthest from God. We all know God is everywhere and promises to never leave us or forsake us.

The Greatest satisfaction we will ever experience, is the love of God and Creator {Our Lord and Our Friend} has for us.

To experience more of the spiritual sustenance Our Lord and Our Friend has for us let all our lives be.

Longing to know Him more.

Longing to experience him more.

Longing to hear Him more.

Hunger and Thirst for more of Jesus Christ {Our Lord and Our Friend} and you will always be satisfied.

God Bless.
