Faith in Action ‘Without Fear Or Failure’

favor

Sometimes we put people in pigeon holes, but faith in action does not allow us to do this.

If we turn to the story of The Good Samaritan Luke 10 verses 30 to 37: Our Motto should be: ‘I do good to others from all walks of life’.

As in Jesus’ day there were groups of people that were despised. One of these groups was the Samaritans, who were considered renegades, cheating, blasphemous and not people to associated with.

The Samaritans were a mixed nationality that rose after the kingdom of Israel was exiled by the Assyrians seven and a half centuries before Christ on the Cross. the Samaritans eventually embraced the writings of Moses, but it was still corrupted in the eyes of the Jews

Jesus as The Savoir, reached out to the Samaritans and used the Story of The Good Samaritan to demonstrate what it means to love your neighbor as yourself.

Later stories from the early church showed Philip, demonstrating his new found love for all of God’s creation by preaching the Good news about Jesus to the ‘despised’ Samaritans. {Acts 8 verse 4 to 13}. Later on in acts the apostles Peter and John did the same.

Our Lord and Our Friend, calls all believers in Him, which includes you and me, to be Good Samaritans ourselves, doing good deeds to others no matter who they are. Helping them in there needs and sharing with them the greatest story ever told. “For God so Loved, that He gave His only begotten Son”.

And we should be able to do that without fear or favor, because the message of salvation is to good to keep to ourselves, The Love that has been bestowed on us through the cross, is to good not to share.

God Bless.
