Mark 12 verse 42: ” And a poor widow came and dropped in two tiny coins worth very little”.
Might seem like an insignificant scripture verse. The poor widow probably didn’t notice who could she her, when she gave her offering, and it didn’t matter to her.
The small coins, given amongst the silver and gold coins, didn’t pass the notice of Jesus, standing near by.
God doesn’t judge and use our offerings , based on any worldly opinion. He looks at the heart. God doesn’t care about the material value, because the small coins were given out of the heart of the woman, who loved and trust Him enough to give Him all she had.
We delight The Lord when we trust Him and give out of our need instead of only out of abundance. When one gives oneself to follow, Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend, it is giving all we have, so He can use it fo His glory, and the blessing of others.
If we give to get, we most likely will be disappointed, but if we give to bless, we will be more blessed ourselves.
The Widows story can be found in: Luke 21 verse 1 to 4:
Be blessed as you read about her love and trust in the God she worships.
