Scripture Verse Of The Week ‘1 Timothy 4 verse 12’

1 Timothy 4 verse 16: “Be conscientious about yourself and your teaching; persevere in these things, for by doing this you will save both yourself and your hearers.”

As Kingdom people, we should always lead by personal example, and that example should extend far beyond the nature of the task at hand. People pattern their motives and values after the people who bring leadership to their lives, whether direct influence or indirect influences.

The apostle Paul recognized this when he wrote, Philippians 3 verse 17:

“Join in imitating me, brothers {and sisters], and observe those who live according to the example you have in us.”

These days when the world is watching, more than it ever has, the actions of people, if we claim to be His, It is His reputation on the line, We are Kingdom people, not living to please the world, but to be witnesses for Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend. How does He make Himself known to the nations and people of the world?  His primary means is through His Kingdom people, both men and women who are dedicated to Him and live as He wants them to live.

We may not have thought of it, that way, but we are the examples the world sees, of the love He has conveyed to the world. Unless, they can see, our lives, as living testimonies, of our Faith in Him, we become only a sounding gong or a clanging cymbal, {1 Corinthians 13 v 1}.

A new year, lets all have a new commitment, to be, His Example, In Word, In Conversation, In Love, In Faith and In Purity.

An old hymn had the lines, “Be Thou My Vision”, If we have Him as our Vision, We will need to spend more time with Him In His Word, and In our conversation with Him through Prayer. New Year, New commitment.

God Bless.
