Faith Of Our Forefathers

sin

Perhaps the hardest truth, for people to accept is that, which is stated in:

Romans 3 verse 23: “For  All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

There is nothing we can do of our own efforts, to help us, not fall short of His Glory. The Glory is God’s standard, the standard in which He lives, and as sinners, we could not live in His Presence.

Romans 5 verse 8: “But God proves His own love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us!”

So this wonder Hymn sung down through the centuries, is virtually a calling for all to come, in repentance and acceptance, of what Christ Jesus did for us, all.

V1; Sinners Jesus will receive;

Sound this word of grace to all

Who the heavenly pathway leave,

All who linger, all who fall!

V2: Come: and He will give you rest;

Trust Him; for His word is plain;

He will take the sinfulest:

Christ receiveth sinful men.

V3: Now my heart condemns me not,

Pure before the law I stand;

He Who cleansed me from all spot,

Satisfied its last demand

V4: Christ receiveth sinful men,

Even me with all my sin;

Purged from every spot and stain,

Heaven with Him I enter in.

Chorus: Sing it over …. and over again:…

Christ reciev…eth sinful men:…

Make the mess…age clear and plain;…

Christ receiveth sinful men.

The message we are to take to the world, Christ Jesus will receive any ‘whosoever’, who comes to Him, in repentance and acceptance.

God Bless.
