Today scripture verse {Philippians 3 verse 14}: Told us what the Apostle Paul had come to know.
“I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus’.
We might find while we are pursuing, ‘the prize of God’s promise’, there are many things that will try to distract us, and take our eyes off the prize.
But pursuing the prize there are personal development tools to be collected along the way. The distractions from the world may try to pull us off course, but 1 Timothy 6; Tell us things we should run from in our pursuit, and development tools that will help us in our pursuit.
V11: “Now you, man {or Woman} of God, run from these things; but pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, endurance, and gentleness”.
A Marathon runner, picks up nourishment and quench their thirst, along their journey. So we, as we pursue the prize of God’s promise, let us be nourished and refreshed, by the goodness, He has available to us, His Righteousness, His Godliness, His Faithfulness, His Enduring Power and His Gentleness and Humility.
We are not competing with anyone for the prize, there are plenty to go around, so always be ready to help, somebody struggling in their faith, on their journeys through life, to receive the Prize of their heavenly calling.
Pursuing requires effort, by He his presence is with us all the way, because He said, ‘He would never leave us or forsake us’.
God Bless.
