Reflective Moment ‘The Difference In Following Jesus’

kingdom

The difference in following Our Lord, Our Savior and Our Friend. The world system would not, be particularly impress by the meek, the world system is always looking for heroes and stars, that are not really role models.

There is nothing wrong with real heroes, people who have put their lives on the line for others, people who make a difference in the world around them. But it seem we are  being reduces to, in our societies, well paid sports people and actors as our sense of role models.

The Kingdom of God is different, Galatians 2 verses 19 and 20; tells us as followers we have been, Crucified with Christ Jesus. and the life we now live in the flesh, we live by faith in the Son of God.

We have humbly surrender ourselves to Him, to be transformed by Him. He becomes our role model, and His Word says about the meek. Matthew 5 verse 5; {Amplified Bible}

“Blessed — happy, blithesome, joyous, spiritually prosperous [that is with life and satisfaction in God’s favor and salvation, regardless of their outward conditions] — are the meek [mild, patient, long-suffering], for they shall inherit the earth.”

The difference in following Jesus, we live off a different fruit. Galatians 5 verse 22.  Our lives are lived for, building  the Kingdom of God, and not to be idolized by the world.

Matthew 6 verse 33; {Amplified Bible}: “But seek for [aim at strive after] first of all His Kingdom, and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right], and then all these things taken together will be given you besides.”

God Bless.
