Living In The Light of Christ Jesus in the darkness of the world.
It is far too easy to fall into patterns and habits that don’t necessarily lead to sin, but don’t accomplish much either. The Apostle Paul in the Book of Ephesians 5 verse 15 and 16, is trying to appeal to followers, to make something of their lives, by capitalizing on every opportunity and making each day count.
V15: “Pay careful attention, the, to how you walk—not as unwise people but as wise—”
V16: “Making the most of the time, because the days are evil.”
Not just paying attention to how we walk, but paying careful attention to how we walk.
Not as unwise people, but as wise, to be wise we must use the help we have to walk carefully.
John 14 verse 25 ; We have The Holy Spirit, who the Father sent in Jesus name. The Holy Spirit will teach us all things, so walk in the wisdom of His teaching.
John 14 verse 27: We have God’s peace, Jesus gave it to us. He didn’t give us a peace the world as the world gives. Walk wisely in His peace, not as the people of the world, who don’t know the wisdom of this peace, and are unwise because of this.
When the Apostle Paul tells us to be careful how we walk {live}, it is more than a warning to avoid missteps and sin. His command also includes being aware of every potential opportunity to improve the world around us.
Paul reminds us again as believers {Ephesians 5 verse 18}, we ought to walk carefully, determine what God’s will is. and do what we can to be ambassadors of The Kingdom of God, to those around us.
Determine to walk wisely, thus honoring Our Lord and Our Friend.
God Bless.
