Faith Of Our Forefathers

faith of

Faith passed down, from generation to generation, but the Faith no matter how wonderful it was and wonderfully it was used, has to be taken up individually, as we accept Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend for ourselves. Faith passed down is Faith to encourage, faith to strengthen for the challenges we have today. Faith taken up with new commitment, by old and new believers is what is needed by all of us today.

Here is another great Hymn of Faith passed down, by the believers who have gone before. ‘Oh Give Thy Heart To Jesus’.

V1: Oh, give thy heart to Jesus,

Thy weary heart of care;

No friend can love so deeply;

Go, find thy refuge there.

V2: Oh trust the heart of Jesus,

Breathe all thy sorrow there;

He loves to hear the pleadings,

Thy humble, contrite prayer.

V3: Go, hide thyself in Jesus;

No foe can harm thee there;

His hand will lift thy burdens,

And all thy sorrows bear.

V4: Go. lean thy heart on Jesus,

Who sees each falling tear,

No friend so true and tender

Can soothe thy every fear.

Chorus: Oh, give thy heart to Jesus—

A balm for every care;

Go, hide beneath His shadow;

No storm can reach you there.

Great and wonderful old Hymn, stacked with plenty of wisdom.

Go give your heart to Christ Jesus:

Take our troubles and burdens to Him:

Go hide beneath His shadow, because of things in our lives, we need rest.

Words of great wisdom, come because God so loves us and the invitation is there, John 3 verse 16.

God Bless.
