I read a lot these days, even at my age I have a hunger for learning, and reading His Word is paramount to any life. One book I picked up to read, the title made me want to buy it and read it, “Unshackled? Living In Outrageous Grace”.
More than 30 years ago I wrote one of my poems, ‘The latter Rain’, and the poem starts like this:
The Latter rain is falling, Falling from the Most High, How shall be stand in such abundant Grace.
Grace is a wonderful subject, that we can allow ourselves to be covered in. Grace is also been described as God’s Mercy at Christ expense.
There are many Awesome scripture verses in The Bible on Grace, let start at 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9,
“My Grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.”
When we look at that verse from the Amplified Bible a whole new understanding can be gleaned from it.
“My Grace — My favor and loving-kindness and Mercy — are enough for you, {that is. sufficient against any danger and to enable you to bear the trouble manfully}; for My strength and power are made perfect– fulfilled and complete and show themselves most effective–in [your] weakness, Therefore, I will all the more gladly glory in my weakness and infirmities, that the strength and power of Christ, The Messiah, may rest–yes pitch a tent [over] and dwell upon me!”
Unshackled from anything that can come against us in the world, because we are living in Outrageous Grace. The Strength and Power of Our Lord and Our Redeemer and Our Friend, may rest, yes pitch a tent over, and dwell on us all, by faith in Him.
John 1 verses 16: {Amplified Bible};
“For out of His fullness [abundance] we ALL received — ALL had a share and we were ALL supplied with — one Grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing, and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift.”
Ephesians 2 verse 8: {Amplified Bible}:
“For it is by free Grace [God’s unmerited favor] that you are saved [delivered from judgement and made partakers of Christ’s Salvation through [your] faith. And this [Salvation] is not of yourselves — of your own doing, it came not through your own striving –but a gift from God;”
Really we were unworthy, to be unshackled, but to All who Repent and Accept Our Loving God has a better way for us, we will Have Him, pitch a tent and dwell on us all, by faith. Truly when we understand this we will be living in Outrages Grace.
Romans 8 verse 1: “therefore, not condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus.”
Dwelling in His Tent and under His covering, Outrages Grace.
God Bless.
