Faith In Action ‘Seasons’

season

Ecclesiastes # verse 1: {NKJV}: “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.”

One season not many people like is the season of change. There is a saying which says ‘Change’ is good as a holiday. One of the major changes in life is getting older, if you can’t handle change, aging in some way will make you.

We seen to have so many items to entertain us through life, yet we will still here the words I am bored. perhaps with all the different forms of entertainment around, we are becoming people who just need to be entertained, and can’t think outside the square.

Sometimes in life we need more than entertainment, we need  to know that people care. We need to know about The creator God that loves us, but to really know Him requires a bit of delving into His Word. We can never get bored delving into the things about Him.

I myself have done many things in life, currently still driving a taxi, only part time for an income, because of my wife illness, which God has under control, which is the best way  to describe what is happening there. That season of driving could be coming to an end because the taxi I am driving has been sold. Oh no change again, I could have thought, but my thought was, there must be something new, you want me to do Lord.

I went out driving in the taxi on one of my few days left,  still thinking, about what I would be doing, But found the greatest joy I get is in encouraging and witnessing.

I met an elderly man Gavin, Gavin wanted to go to the local shops and have me wait a short while and then bring him home again. I conversed in some wonderful conversation with Gavin, he had much to tell me about his life, and there must have been many seasons in his life, Gavin must have gone through. Gavin also told me his life wasn’t as good as it should be, even though he was elderly. Gavin was in season of unwantedness and loneliness, he had been a successful in life, but now virtually felt unwanted and lonely.

I ask him my favorite question, did he have a faith in God. Oh yes Gavin replied, this was the chance to give out our Ministry card, which has 1 Peter 5 verse 7; on it;

“Cast all your cares on Him because He cares for you” also with the saying, “If it matters to you it matters to Him”.

Tears weld up in Gavin’s eyes, and He said, ‘I needed to meet someone like you, that would tell me that He still cares about me.’  My response was God never stopped caring, and perhaps there was something Gavin  could do for Him, and He should check it out.

Gavin’s countenance had changed, because someone had reassured him, God still cared about him. From my chance meeting with Gavin, God had changed Gavin’s season to one of hope again.

Never grow tired of encouraging people about the great love, Our Lord and Our Friend has for them. Season in all our lives may change, but God’s Awesome love is constant.

God Bless.
