Ephesians 3 verse 16 and 17:

V16: “I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His Glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,” V17: and the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love.”
We were just going to use only verse 17, but we needed to give the bigger word picture, that is described in both.

First we have ‘The Riches of His Glory’, they are available to us, free without charge, come through Repentance and Acceptance of all He has done for us.

If that is not enough, we are to be, ‘Strengthened with Power through His Spirit in the inner man’, free without charge, by surrendering, ourselves so He can transform us into the people He created us to be.

Yet there is more, having repented, and accepted and surrendered to the Transforming Power, now available to us is, ‘That The Christ {Messiah} may dwell in your hearts by faith’.

Now if that not enough, but it is actually more than enough, we can become ‘Rooted and firmly established in Love’.

The purpose for all this, is told in verse 19: That we may know, ‘The Christ {Messiah’s} Love that surpasses knowledge, so you may be filled with all the Fullness of God”.

To become a Christian, is not just putting on a tag of some sort, it is asking Christ Jesus {Our Lord, Our Redeemer and Our Friend}, through The Holy Spirit to make His home in our hearts.
