The compassion that Christ Jesus showed us on the cross at Calvary should become the driving force of our lives.
The Great Hymn, ‘All To Jesus I Surrender’ means totally giving ourselves , to Him so He becomes Lord of our lives.
‘All to Jesus I freely give’: When one gives their heart to Christ Jesus, Christ Jesus gives His Heart to them, and they become one of many other followers with a transplanted heart. That new heart gives you a new appreciation for life. New life, by which we humbly acknowledge our responsibility to honor the donor.
2 Corinthians 5 verse 17: “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look new things have come’.
We need to surrender all to Jesus, we can’t be a bit of the old and a bit of the new. All things become new. Christ’s new heart, gives us something we have been lacking or lost under the burden of sin {wrong-doings against God}.
By giving All to Jesus which includes our heart, we literally feel different. Why because we feel what Christ Jesus feels, and one of His sanctified emotions is compassion. That is why even though it is still possible for us to sin, now it should be more unlikely, because our heart begins to break for the things that break the heart of God.
And that is the heart of what it means to love God with all your heart.
God Bless.
