Philippians 3 verse 10: “My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death.”

Many would agree with the first part of this verse, ‘My goal is to know Him and the power of His resurrection.”

Our Goal should be to know more about Our Lord Our redeemer and Our Friend and to know His power. if that is all it took to understand and apply, Philippians 4 verse 13:

“I am able to do all things through Him, who strengthens me.”

But the second part of the verse is, ‘and the fellowship of His suffering, being conformed to His death.’

Perhaps now few will follow that goal to know Him more and to know the power available to us to do all things.

If we take on a goal, we need to look at the total cost of reaching that goal, and the steps needed to be taken,

Some of those steps towards knowing Him more is: Philippians 19 and 20:

V19: “For through the law I have died to the law, that I might live for God, I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH JESUS.”

V20: “I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I know live in the flesh, I live by faith in The Son of God, who gave Himself for me.”

Luke 9 verse 23: “The He {Jesus} said to them all, {you and me}, ‘If anyone wants to come with me, he {or she} must deny himself. take up his cross daily and follow Me’.”

Luke 14 verse 28: ” For which of you, wanting to build a tower, doesn’t first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it.”

Our Goal of knowing Him more and His resurrection power, will come at a cost., of leaving our old lives behind, and pressing into to Him and the plans He has for our lives.

Jeremiah 29 verse 11 : “For i know the plans I have for you,” this is The Lords declaration—” plans for your welfare, not your disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

Jeremiah 29 verse 13: “you will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart.”

Our goals for Him will come at a cost, require diligence, perseverance, faith and trust, and that is the  start of knowing Him more and the power of His resurrection.
