Starts with us realizing we have been forgiven. If we know we are truly forgiven, we can easily forgive.
1 John 1 verse 7 to 9:
V7: “But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanse us from all sin”.
V8: “If we say, ‘we have no sin.’ we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”
V9: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
He will forgive us of All things. It is not about being perfect, but is about honesty before Our Father God.
One of the ways, of thinking is God is mad with us, an assumes we can please Him by doing certain things, paying penance for example.
Hebrews 11 verse 6: “Now without faith it is impossible to please God, for the one who draws near to Him must believe that He exists and rewards those who seek Him.”
The only way to come before God is by making ourselves right in His eyes. He knows about us at all time, He knows what is effecting our walk with Him. He will not just deliver us and make us right before Him. We must be honest before Him, and bring any wrong-doing before Him.
“If we confess our sin, He is faithful and righteous to Forgive us our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Does this mean we do sin anymore, No, because we are only sinners saved by Grace.
If we are out walking with a friend and the friend appears upset, and we ask why, and the response is, ‘I can’t bear to see you walking around in those dirty clothes, from that thing you allowed yourself to fall in’.
If we want to walk in the Light as Our Father is in in the Light, we must always be honest before Him. Repentance is like bringing our dirty clothes before Him, and by The Blood of Jesus, we are made clean.
Performance of Godly things will not bring us before God, but honesty will, He can use a person who is faithfully honest Him.
God doesn’t have favorites, and we can not do anything to make our selves more favored by Him. But we can by faith draw near to Him, and by that faith know that He is a rewarder of those that honesty seek Him.
Honestly Seek Him more, and we will never be disappointed.
