Faith In Action ‘The Cost Is a Privilege’

In Reading God’s Word, and reading through the Book of Luke, Luke 14 in particular, one of the headings for a segment of verses from that chapter is some translations is ‘The cost of serving Jesus’.

Many might say Cost!, Nobody told me that. Any cost should be considered a Privilege.  Lets look at what this passage is trying to convey:

We must serve Him Above all else.

Nothing surprising in that after all, Matthew 6 verse 33:  ‘Seek first the Kingdom of God’,

The cost of sacrifice,self.

Self interest, must take a back step to Kingdom Interests. Galatians 2 verse 20: ‘I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.’

Our thoughts about our selves; Removing the doubts.

We must understand who we are in Christ,Romans 8 verse1: ‘No condemnation exists for those in Christ Jesus’. We have been redeemed.

Finally The cost of strategy.

We must think strategically and act courageously in the face of uncertainty. Romans 12 verse 2: ‘By the renewing of you mind’

Kingdom of God People are Kingdom focused, because we have an eternal direction. Serving The King of Kings {Our Lord and Our Friend} is more than a privilege, it is an excitement and a joy.

Proverbs 16 verse 3: “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed”.

God Bless.
