We all would like to think, we can live worry free lives, but by all means we must at least live worry-less lives. The Bible tells us not to worry or to let our hearts be troubled, but the fact we are told not to worry must mean there is the existence of worry in the life of a Christian.
We may not be able to avoid being frightened at times, We may not avoid flashes of panic or the aches of anxiety. Perhaps we can’t escape the temptation of worry, but we can avoid remaining in the condition that will eventually pull us down.
Perhaps more to the point, it is our obligation as a follower of Our Lord and Our Friend to fight off the sin of anxiety, just as we can resist the sin of gluttony, drunkenness, profanity, lust and idolatry.
Our Lord and Our Friend paid the price, for us to be free from the power of sin. Our love for Him, should be in closer walking with Him, day by day, so when the tempting troubling times come, we are less likely to be troubled.
God Bless.
