Prayer is much more than talking with God, it is a presence to enjoy.
Prayer is not just a pattern or a ritual; it is a Presence. When we have cultivated a consciousness and subconsciousness of God’s abiding presence, it becomes natural to speak to Him spontaneously through the day.
We develop the practice of prayer as we go about our daily duties, it doesn’t matter where we are, we are in His presence, and just as we communicate with those around us, we can communicate with our ever presence Lord and Friend.
We start the day and close the day with a word of prayer, but that should not be the be all and end all, of our prayers during our daily activities. We should never endeavor to undertake anything of significance without partaking in words of prayer, praise, or thanksgiving, with our ever present Lord and Friend.
Developing a practice of prayer, and enjoying His Presence in everything we do. That is how we can pray without ceasing.
That is how 1 Thessalonians, becomes real, because we enjoy His Presence in our prayers, and ‘Pray constantly’.
God Bless.
