The kingdom of this world is threatened by the Kingdom of God and it’s King Christ Jesus, and we who follow Christ Jesus live in this Kingdom, We have higher standards, because of who we represent, and being Kingdom people we should inevitably use Kingdom values in all we do.

The kingdom of the world is based on ‘self’, if it is good for me, it must be good to do, even at the price of hurting others. so the kingdom of the world is threaten when somebody comes along that are living for the good of their King, Christ Jesus.

Being Kingdom people in the Kingdom of God we should be able to recognize the deceptions in this world.

Lets look at a story from The Book Of Acts, Acts 16 verses 16 to 40; He we see, a clairvoyant slave-girl, a crooked magistrate, and a small matter of an earthquake. Paul and Silas were on their way to prayer

V16; “Once, as we were on our way to prayer a slave girl met us who had a spirit of prediction and made a large profit for her owners bt fortunetelling”.

V17: as she followed Paul and us she cried out, ‘These men are slaves of The Most High God, who are proclaiming to you the Way of salvation’. And she did this man times.

What the demon-pocessed slave girl is seeing, is absolutely right, So why is Paul unhappy with this? Because he knew that the spirit by which she spoke was not the Spirit of God. The spirit that allowed the girl to recognize the Truth prevents her from responding to the truth, She was never going to be delivered to salvation while she remained under the control of that spirit.

Paul had had enough: V18 and he commanded the spirit to come out of her in the Name of Jesus. Fair enough, thing for a Kingdom of God person to do.

What do we see happening then? First of all the persecution starts. Why because finance was being effected. Greedy people are going to lose some money because of this slave girls deliverance. The kingdom of this world is being threatened by The Kingdom of God and it’s King.

The story goes on persecution is increased, and false charges are drummed up. They come before a bad magistrate and thrown in prison.

Persecution should be expected ,but with the help of our King we take on the world and it godless system. The good news is that Our King delivered Paul and Silas from the chains the world put on them, and the prison they were held in.

God’s Kingdom People, should stand up for the values of His Kingdom, which may come a a personal cost, but our King will deliver us, The kingdom of this world has lost it power to harm us, when Christ Jesus defeated it’s leader Satan on the cross.

Always remember Kingdom of God people walk in victory, because of what Our Lord and Our Friend, accomplished for us.
