After Pentecost, Pentecost was the coming of the Holy Spirit in authority and Power. The Book of Acts 1 verse 4:

“While He {Jesus} was together with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for the Father’s promise. ‘This’, He said, ‘is what you heard from Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with The Holy Spirit’.”

The story of Jesus doesn’t end with Jesus’ ascension, back to His throne in heaven. It continues in the lives of those who believe in Him. The supernatural doesn’t stop with Jesus. Luke who wrote the Book of Acts, makes it clear that these followers he wrote about are in on the action of God. God acting in them and God living in them. Which of course means God acting in us and God living with us.

The Holy Spirit does not cease to fill the believers after the Book of Acts. The Holy Spirit longs to promote us in His works for healing and grace.

So you see the Book of Acts is not just a story about other people, it is a story that continues through us.

We too can be baptized with The Holy Spirit, like they were in the Book of Acts. So as we look to the Triune God, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, we can be confident that He will empower us and answer our prayers for promotion of His Kingdom on earth.

All we have to do is be willing, and all of us can be used.and empowered to proclaim God’s Word, and bring healing in the Name of Jesus. We all can be transformed to bring about transformation that Our Lord and Our Friend has for all our lives.
