Faith In Action – We Are Called To Witness

Every believer shares the privilege and responsibility of witnessing {sharing the Good News}. We are only too willing, to tell great stories about people we know or something we have watched on television or a movie. The greatest story every told about Jesus and His love, is not only a story we should consider it a privilege to share, but a Truth that should be apart of us all.

Luke 12 verse 8: “And I say to you, anyone who acknowledges Me before men, the Son of man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.”

We are Christ’s ambassadors, God is making His appeal through us.

2 Corinthians 5 verse 20: “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ: certain that God is appealing through us, we plead on Christ’s behalf,”

Today is the day for the Good News to be shared, be ready to be prompted by The Holy Spirit to tell somebody today.

2 Kings 7 verse 9: “Then they said to each other, ‘we’re not doing what is right, Today is a day of good news.”

It is not a matter of how we feel, it is matter of who needs to hear, we must be willing  to witness despite how we feel

Be willing, We are all workers in God’s field. let us do our share of bring in the harvest.     Mathew 9 verse 37:

“The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few.”

Jesus calls a tax collector Mark 2 verse 14. And the tax collectors were despised.

Our Lord and Our Friend can use anyone to be His witnesses, we just have to be willing. Mark 18 verse 15: “Then He {Jesus} said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation.”

There is nothing to fear in witnessing, because of His great love for us Just be willing to be used, and expect great things to happen.

We will finish this week with a study of 1 Samuel, and one of the major themes from 1 Samuel is God’s calling. Every Christian is called to faith in Christ and called to proclaim the Word  of Christ to others. May we respond as Samuel does, immediately, faithfully, and continually.

God Bless.
