God likeness, we are created in the image of God, for a reason to walk in Godliness, To be as much like God as possible, continually working on our lives to build our character traits to be like the character of God. To have Godly attributes, walking in Godliness should be part of our lives. After all He is walking with us in our journey through life. We should always be about completing a close walk with Him.

Godliness is more than the absence of worldliness, materialism, consumerism and legalism. Godliness is the lifestyle presentation, we should have in all we are, and all we do.

The old song ‘With Christ in my vessel I can smile at the storm’ and with Christ in our vessels, we should be learning and practicing, to walk more in the attributes of Godliness.

We are to live the values of Kingdom living, Kingdom living is to portray Godliness. 1 Timothy 4 verse8:  We are to train ourselves in Godliness.

v8 “for, the training of the body has a limited benefit, but godliness is beneficial in every way, since it holds promise for the present life and also  for the life to come.”,

Through His Divine power, He will transform us.

2 Peter 1 verse 3: “For His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”

Godliness is achieved in us, not when we strive to become more like God, but when we allow our Lord and Our Friend to work in us.

Sin can block any transforming of Godliness in our lives. ! John 1 v 9:

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  By confessing we remove any blockage of sin, that may hinder our lives from walking in the Godliness we are called to walk in.

It is no longer I that live but Christ lives in me, let the Godliness of Our Creator be evident in our lives, but not that we should boast, but because we may lead others to find the wonderful new life of walking in Him. Let the transforming Godliness which He has for all of us reflect in all our lives.
