What A Friend We Have In Jesus

Our Ministry is founded on these wonderful words, which are also expressed in the song “My Best Friend is the Creator of the Universe”.

People have been saying this about Jesus for years and even centuries, but we seem to have lost the need for this Wonderful friend in the consumerism of life.

So lets look at a hymns by the same name, “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”. Lets all take time to ponder the words of this beautiful hymn. There is nothing surer than this, Jesus wants to be your friend.

Verse 1 What a Friend we have in Jesus,

All our sins and griefs to bear!

What a privilege to carry Everything to God in pray!

Oh what peace we often forfeit,

Oh, what needless pain we bear,

All because we do not carry, Everything to God in prayer!

Verse2 Have we trials and temptations?

Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged: take it to the Lord in prayer.

Can we find a Friend so faithful.

Who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness- Take it to the Lord in Prayer!

Verse 3  Are we weak and heavy-laden,

Cumbered with a load of care?

Precious Savior, still our refuge- Take it to The Lord in prayer.

Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to The Lord in prayer:

In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,

Thou will find a solace there.

What a Friend we have in Jesus! These truly are wonderful word to reflect on.
If He isn’t your Friend all ready, take the time to make Him the best Friend you will ever have.

This web site is designed to reflect these very words, that is why it is called My Lord, My Friend.com.

We have helps on this site and if you look under Witnessing Tools you’ll find the sinners prayer and the Romans Road with more to come, if you haven’t already said the sinners prayer it is there so you too can ask Jesus to be your Lord and Friend.
God Bless.
