It is not a subject that people like to talk about much, but it is a part of life. It is a part of the great diversity of life, we have Joy, we also can expect to go to the other end of the spectrum grief/sorrow.
We are not to remain sorrowful, because Our Lord and Our friend is always here for us.
He Himself suffered sorrow, so He knows how we are effected by grief/sorrow. It is also good to talk about your grief/sorrow with somebody you trust and perhaps a Pastor or Minister or counselor {Christ centered counselor}.
Don’t try to bury your grief/sorrow, it best to face it head and not to let it take hold of you.
Here are some helpful scriptures;{Message Bible}
Psalm 34 verse 17 to 18; “Is anyone crying for help? god is listening, ready to rescue. if your heart is broken, you’ll find god right there. if you’re kicked in the gut, he’ll help you catch your breath.”
Psalm 55 verse 22; “Pile your troubles on God’s shoulders. He’ll carry your load, He’ll help you out.”
Psalm 147 verse 3; “God heals the heartbroken and bandages the wounds.”
Matthew 5 verse4; “You’re blessed when you feel you’re lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.”
John 16 verse 33; “Jesus said, ‘I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve have conquered the world’.”
This subject is close to my heart right now, and I am speaking from a personal experience. My mother passed {promoted to Glory}, but she was of a good age and it was expected, but she was my mum. So I turned to the place where I knew I would get the most inspiration and help the Word of God.
These are the scriptures I came up with, so I hope they help anyone else who might be experiencing grief/sorrow at this point of time.
God Bless.
