Ephesians 2 verse 9  ” Not from works, so that no one can boast.”

Salvation is a free gift, you can not earn it.

Justification is a free gift, it cannot be earnt or brought.

Sanctification is the walk we have after we accept the free gift of Salvation.

It is in sanctification that we grow in Christ and through growing in Him we will do good things, but the good things we do will not cause God to love us any more than He already does.

We can not earn our way into eternal life by good deeds, acts of charity, mission endeavors, being nice, smiling a lot, through studying, through church attendance, for volunteering, for giving, fro wearing religious items, even performing heroic acts, acts of kindness, or any other works programme no matter how good it is. The only way to get eternal life is through accepting the way God made, and that is what Jesus achieved on the cross. Jesus {our Lord and Our Friend} paid the price for us by dying in our place.

It is a free gift, made with a free will. Jesus was and is God, took on the form of one of us, died on the cross, and rose again to new life for us.

Jesus did this for you and me, so we could have new life, it cost him greatly but salvation is free to All who will accept.

The gulf between us and God is only bridged by the cross of Christ Jesus, by His mercy, so NONE can boast. It is a free Gift.

What we do with the gift and out of our love for Our Lord and Our Friend, are good deeds, good works and amazing things, but not in our own strength but through His strength.

We die to self and live fro Him. that is when people will know we are His disciples. It is no longer I that live but Christ that lives in me.
