A Morning To Write About

Morning to write about.

I was reading Hannah’s prayer 1 Samuel 2.

Hannah’s prayer refers to two significant prayers in the Bible by Hannah, a barren woman who prayed fervently for a son, the prophet Samuel, and in her joy, offered a prophetic song in 1 Samuel chapters 1 and 2, celebrating God’s power to humble the proud and exult the lowly.

I became so interested in the story and the story behind the story; I made myself late for where I was supposed to be. I was supposed to be meeting a friend to go through some papers.

But I was just scribbling down notes to write about, and this made me late. I felt awful, but Our Lord and Our Friend knew. My friend rang to say his motor bike had a flat tire, on his way to meet me could we make it another day.

So, I went on to read more about Hannah’s prayer, searching for everything I could find on this prayer.

Our Lord really wanted me to study this way. His presence in my office was something that made ne go down on my knees. The fan in my office was on, but a heat came over me, like a cloak of His anointing.

My Prayer partner phoned and I started telling him about, to which he replied he knew something was going on with me, because he felt prompted to call.

My prayer friend and I chatted and prayed some more together, it really was a morning to write about.

I finished the morning by watching a carton story on Hannah and her prayer and realized how trusting in Ou Lord and Our Friend we need to be. Matthew 18 verse3; “Truly I {Jesus} tell you unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven”. Emphasizing humility, trust and dependence on God, rather than worldly status or understanding.

What Hannah’s prayer is all about.

God Bless.
