Surrender Trust in the Fathers Love

Psalm 37:5 “Give God the right to direct your life, and as you trust Him along the way, you’ll find He pulled it off perfectly” The Passion Translation

Our attitude in prayer includes the benefits of an attitude of surrender.

Surrender can multiply what we lay down; it’s an invitation to come up higher; unlocks resurrection power and brings transformation; it’s an exchange for something better. It can bring release, restoration, rest, and refreshing. The exhortation to ‘let go and let God’ is more than a catchy phrase, it’s a way to live in victory.

I am so grateful that I can pray about things I desire and then surrender them to the will of the Father, knowing that He is good, wise and loving. As someone said recently, “I’m so pleased that God didn’t answer some of my prayers in the way I was expecting.” His ways are higher than ours and His way is perfect. He sees the big picture, and we can trust Him.

When Jesus, our Lord and Friend prayed in the garden of Gethsemane “not My will but Yours be done” (Luke 22:42, Matthew 26:39), we see an expression of profound submission to the Father’s will. This phrase signifies trusting that God’s plan is greater than our own understanding and represents an act of prayerful surrender and unwavering faith in Divine purpose. Thank You Lord Jesus.

What a difference His obedience has made in our lives. Salvation. Eternal life. Reconciliation with the Father. In Luke 22:43, an angel from Heaven appeared to Jesus and strengthened Him. Our Father will do the same for us who believe in Jesus and call on Him. We have the Holy Spirit living in us to strengthen and help us in our time of need.

May we be strengthened with power in our inner man by the Holy Spirit as we surrender to Him.

Shalom.
