Faith In Action “The Spirit Contemporary Life”
Faith In Action requires us to be different. In the Book of Acts it all changed at Pentecost.
Before His crucifixion, Jesus explained to the disciples that Holy Spirit would come soon. {see John 14 Verse 26}, and He reminded them again after rising from the dead.
Ten days after Jesus ascended into heaven, Holy Spirit arrived, He made His presence in a room full of believers gathered in the upper room of a house, waiting. And when the Holy Spirit came, they experienced life transforming power for the first time, and the change was dramatic.
Right afterwards, Peter, who previously had been afraid, even to be identified as a follower of Jesus, stood in public and preached a bold message that inspired more than three thousand people to follow Jesus {Acts 2 V 41} Soon after that, Peter and John preached messages that led more than five thousand others to become followers of Christ {Acts 4 V 4]
In Acts #: Peter in John encountered a man who was lame from his mother womb.
The man looked intently at Peter and John expecting to get something that would help his situation. Peter and John knew he was expecting and did the unexpected of his expectation.
Peter and John gave the man out of what they had received from God. They spoke out of the authority they had received. “In The Name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk.
The man not only did He went into the temple with them, walking, leaping and praising God.
Faith In Action requires us with The Holy Spirit help, Who lives on the inside of all believers, to use the authority that has been given to us with boldness.
Faith In Action is not only a doing it is a loving to do what the Spirit leads us to do.
God Bless.
