Transformation Continuing

Set your sights high and be Transformed, into Who Our Lord created you to be.

In the Second Chronicles, Solomon set his sights high. Solomon is given an open promise, and he chooses what he needs, rather than what most of us probably ask for, fame and fortune. Solomon’s choice was for wisdom and knowledge.

2 Chronicles 1 verse 10: “Now grant me wisdom and knowledge so that i may lead these people, for who can judge this great people of Yours?”

God answers 2 Chronicles 1 verses 11 and 12:

V12, “wisdom and knowledge are given to you, I will also give you riches, wealth and glory, such that it was not like this for the kings who were before you, nor will it be for those after you,”

Solomon’s sense of responsibly appears from:

A sense of knowing what is right, he is on earth to do an important job, and he wants to do his best.

A sense of gratitude, God is good and has chosen him, Solomon wants to honor his debt to God, for choosing him.

A sense of recognition that the people he leads are God’s, not his Solomon recognizes he is a servant of God and wants to do His work.

A willingness to reflect the heart of God. God rules the world by wisdom, and Solomon asks for wisdom ‘in God’s name’ which is according to his Character and will.

Solomon builds the Temple, 2 Chronicles 3 verse 1 to 17: On a hilltop overlooking Jerusalem. Solomon builds the first of only three temples the Jews have ever had. In the Temple, Jews will offer sacrifices to God for 400 years. Until Babylonians invaders destroy the building.

How to plan building projects and stay spiritual: 2 Chronicles 2: One thing that stands out here is that Solomon was willing to use secular craftsmen for God’s work. All of our gifts originate from the Creator, and indeed bringing in unbelievers to help with the work. might bring about their interest in God in Whom the temple was dedicated.

God Bless.
