In my devotions in which I am always so conscious to let His Spirit lead me. I love to talk about being transformed the gospel of Christ is a transforming message. The whole of the Bible speaks about Transformation. The book of Colossians is strong on the transformation message.
We today desperately need the message of Colossians. We live in a day when religious tolerance is interpreted to mean ‘one religion is just as good as another’. Our pluralistic spirt tends to approach all spiritual systems with an ‘equal time, equal truth’ assumption that puts destructive heresies and demonic teaching on the same level with the gospel.
Some people try to take the best from various religious systems and manufacture their own private system. To many people, Christ is only one of several great religious teachers. Je4sus may be prominent, but definitely not first place {preeminent}.
Ideas derived from mysticism, legalism, eastern religions, asceticism, and man-made philosophies are secretly creeping in to places where they have no right o be the church.
They are not denying Christ, but they are de-emphasizing, dethroning, and robbing Him of His rightful place of preeminence.
When we study the Book of Colossians, Paul issues a warning to heed.’C2 v 4’:
“I am saying this so that no one will deceive you with persuasive arguments”. {C 2 v 8} :
“Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human traditions, based on the elemental forces of the world, and not based on Christ”.
The kind of healthy spiritual transformation that we desire and need only comes as we remember that “Just as we accepted Christ Jesus as our Lord, we must continue to follow Him.
Then our faith will grow strong in the Truth we were taught, and we will overflow with Thankfulness.
God Bless
