Good Friday “Transformation”

Good Friday they call it good, but on this day we remember a terrible death of Christ Jesus. Our reflection about His death should be, it wasn’t the worldly nails that kept him on the cross, but it was His love. That through His resurrection, we all can have new life, in fellowship with Him. a wonderful Old Hymn is a great reflection of His Love for us. “when I survey the wondrous cross”.

When I survey the wondrous cross

On which The Prince of Glory died,

My richest gain I count but loss,

And pour contempt on all my pride.

Forbid it, Lord, that I should boast!

save in the death of Christ my God:

All the vain things that charm me most,

I sacrifice them to the blood.

See! from His head, His hands, His feet,

Sorrow and love flow mingled down!

Did e’er such love and sorrow  meet,

Or thorns compose so rich a crown?

Were the whole realm of nature mine,

That were an offering far too small:

Love so amazing, so divine,

Demands my soul, my life, my all.

What wonderful words, that reflect the awesomeness, of what Our Lord, Our Redeemer, and Our Friend has done for us.

John 3 verse 16: tells us that this love pour out is available to any ‘Whosoever’, who dares to respond.

God Bless.
