Christ Jesus our Wisdom from God

Proverbs 8:12-13 The Passion Translation 12“For I am Wisdom, and I am shrewd and intelligent. I have at my disposal living understanding to devise plans for your life. 13 Wisdom pours into you when you begin to hate every form of evil in your life, for that’s what worship and fearing God is all about.”

Commentary…Wisdom is personified throughout the book of Proverbs. Lady Wisdom is a figure of speech for God Himself, who invites us to receive the best way to live, the excellent and noble way of life found in Jesus Christ. Jesus is Wisdom personified, for He was anointed with the Spirit of Wisdom. See Isaiah 11:1-2.

1 Corinthians 1:30-31 AMPC v30 “But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, (revealed to us a knowledge of the Divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as) our Righteousness (thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God) and our Consecration (making us pure and holy), and our Redemption (providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin.)”V 31 NKJV “that, as it is written, ‘He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.’”

1 Corinthians 1:31 (cross referenced to) Jeremiah 9:24 AMPC “But let him who glories glory in this: that he understands and knows Me (personally and practically, directly discerning and recognizing My character), that I am the Lord, Who practices loving-kindness, judgement, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, say the Lord.”

Today, I found a slip of paper in my Amplified Bible. It was a prayer request from 10/9/2005. It was for one of my grandsons (2 years old) who had been diagnosed with a blood disorder, which meant he would possibly need regular invasive blood-work intervention. The prayer request was broadcast in our church network, and I want to “boast in the Lord” that this precious grandson is now, a very healthy and fit 21 year old! Thank You to our Lord and Friend. I am forever grateful for Your love and goodness!

‘Testimony’ is like saying ‘Lord do it again’: A power in testimony to release faith for the Lord to ‘do it again’. So if you or someone you know is needing a miracle, I pray that you will be encouraged in your faith to believe and trust our Lord and Friend, to ‘do it again’. May you too ‘boast in the Lord, recognize His character’ – He is goodness and faithfulness.
