Righteousness, right standing with God because of what Christ Jesus achieved for us on the cross.
Peace, because He is our peace.
Joy, rejoice with inexpressible and glorious Joy, we have In Him.
Isaiah 61 Verse 3: “And they shall be called righteousness trees, planted by the Lord, to glorify Him”.
Nasb Version: “So they will be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified”.
In this verse, God calls us Oaks of righteousness. When an oak tree first pushes through the ground as a seedling, it is 100 percent an oak tree already. For the remainder of its life, it will simply grow more and more into the tree it already is.
We are never more righteous no matter how long we live. From the moment you accept Christ until we pass on to glory, however we grow more and more like who we already are as a righteous person in Christ.
Romans 14 Verse 17: “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.”
The Apostle Paul, is explaining that God does not want this evil world to determine the way followers of Our Lord and Our Friend think. We are to have our thinking renewed by Him. We are to offer all of ourselves to God as a sacrifice, and He will make us fully alive.
We are to hate what is evil, love what is good and forgive freely. Paul reminds us as believers a new day has dawned. We have become citizens of a new kingdom. Our deeds are to deeds of light and not darkness. To do that, we are to put on Jesus and follow his example of loving and loving graciously.
In this scripture verse Paul urges followers not to judge one another in areas of food and holy days. The Kingdom of God is not an matter of eating and drinking. Paul request Grace for all because we will all give an account to God.
The Kingdom of God is not about eating and drinking, going about our doings, it is much more it is about living in the plans and purposes Our Lord and Our Friend has for our lives. Jeremiah 29 verse 11.
He has plans for ‘any Whosoever who comes’ and excepts what He did for us on The Cross. His Righteousness, His Peace and His joy is available to us.
God Bless
