Scripture Verse Of the Week.

2 Corinthians 5 Verse 17: “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation; old things have passed away and look, new things have come”.

When we come to Christ Jesus, it is like he writes everything we have ever done wrong on a big board and then says, “We are just going to erase all that. We are going to start over. We are going to get a fresh new start.”

It is not just turning over a new leaf but getting a totally ne life. We become a new person, Our Lord and Our Friend gives us a new spiritual identity.

Here is some tough truth, that is very important to take hold of. Every time we sin, it damages our identity. When we break Gods’ principles, we do not just hurt other people and Our Lord and Friend, we hurt ourselves.

Every time we sin, it replaces a little bit of self-respect with a little bit of shame. This shame begins to pile up in our lives. The shame begins to pile up in our lives and we begin to try to push in out the way by staying busy and doing other things.

Our Lord and Our Friend is in the dignity restoring business. He does not just ignore our sins; He wipes them out and makes us a new person in His sight.

When we trust Our Lord and Our Friend, He gives us a brand-new identity and makes all things new! Through repentance and acceptance of Him. John 3 Verse 16.
