Bold statement you can’t have real life without forgiveness, both in receiving and giving.

The Lords Prayer states “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who have trespassed against us.”

From the letters of John, we find release from the ties that bind, which comes from forgiveness, from which we get new life. John contradicts those who question if Jesus is the Savior John asserts that not only is Jesus their Savior, but He is the Savior of the world.

John 4 verse 42 “We no longer believe because of what you said, for we have heard for ourselves and know this {Jesus} really is the savior of the world.”

The salvation that Jesus offers, need to be accepted and through accepting, we also have friendship with him and God The father. {1 John 1 verse 3 and 7}.

Salvation is forgiveness which will bring about friendship with God. Friendship with God, is what repentance and acceptance of Jesus {Our Lord and Our Friend} is about.

A well known song states “My best friend is the creator of the universe.” John reminds his readers that not only does Jesus know us intimately, but He also desires them to enjoy close relationship with Him.

Jesus {Our Lord And Our Friend} has devoted himself to making this friendship. }1 John 5 verse 20}   “And we know the son of God has come and given us understanding so we may know the true one.”

Jesus will respond to any prayer request, that are aligned with His will.

Forgiveness of sins is of course fundamental to relationship between Jesus and believers, and is one of the benefits that believers enjoy. {1 John 1 v9}

Everlasting Life also relates to the quality of Life enjoyed by everyone whose destiny is eternity with God.

What a great Salvation Our Lord and Our Friend has to offer, it is the start of a great journey with eternal destiny.

Start walking in forgiveness, we have freely received, let be a people of freely offering forgiveness.

Taste and see that the Lord our God and our Savior is truly good.
