Joshua 24 verse 15:” But if it doesn’t, please you to worship the Lord, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship; the gods your father worshiped beyond the Euphrates River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my family, we will worship the Lord.”
We are born again at conversion through commitment of our lives to the Lord Jesus and enter into relationship with God as our Father, we have every reason to expect Him to speak to us. The most natural thing a parent does is to initiate communication, and in time, conversation with his or her child.
It was God’s idea in the first place to talk to us and listen to us because He created us for intimate fellowship with Himself. It is fellowship and intimacy which God purposed for His creation.
John 3 Verse 16: “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
Eternal life in fellowship and intimacy. Intimacy is not what the world has turned it into. Intimacy from the dictionary means: ‘a close friend who listens to confidences and has knowledge of.l
Our Lord and Our Friend already knows all about us, and longs for us to know more about Him.
