From The Heart

Holy Spirit – Spirit of prayer – Helper

Jude chapter 1 verse 20 says “but you, dear friends, must continue to build your lives on the foundation of your holy faith. And continue to pray as you are directed by the Holy Spirit”

We know that Jesus has not left us to fend for ourselves but has sent the Holy Spirit to us to help us in every circumstance– whether celebrating and so giving thanks for His wonderful provision and deliverance – or in a challenging time, when we are crying out for answers, for understanding, comfort and deliverance. Be aware of His Presence, communicate with Him, let Him lead.

Holy Spirit is all knowing, all seeing and all powerful, able and willing; desiring to give us wisdom and strategies and always impart hope. He is the God of Hope.

He teaches us how to rest. He is our rest. Isaiah 63 verse 14 “the Spirit of the Lord caused them to rest”.

Are you exhausted? Fatigued? Stressed? Tired? Overwhelmed? Burned out? You need rest. There is a rest that the world cannot give. The Spirit’s rest begins within and touches spirit, soul and body, while renewing your strength. Holy Spirit will lead you to green meadows and peaceful streams (Psalm 23) Enter into the Spirit’s rest. Ask Him.

Isaiah chapter 11, speaking of our Lord Jesus Christ, verse 2 says “And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding; the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord”. When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior, Lord and Friend, this same Holy Spirit came to dwell in each one of us. He is our ever-present help in time of need. Romans 8 verse 26 says “And the Holy Spirit helps us in our distress. For we don’t even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning that cannot be uttered in words”.

Romans 8 11 ‘The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus form the dead, lives in you. And just as He raised Christ form the dead, He will give life to your mortal body by the same Spirit living in you.”

Be encouraged! Because of the Holy Spirit, resurrection power of God – the most powerful in the universe, lives in you

The Lord bless you.
