What a great time of year to share our faith.
I am not sure what kind of festival the world thinks it is celebrating, but if they truly understood the words of my favorite Christmas Carol, the words could become more alive to them, then just a song.
So here it is my favorite Carol; “Oh Come all ye Faithful.”
“Oh come all ye faithful, Joyfully triumphant.”
Love those words, it is an invitation to come and see the great things our God has done, come not out of inquisitiveness, come with the triumphant joy of assurance.
“Oh come, let us adore Him, Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.”
Come through the joy of knowing, the majesty of what Our Lord and Our Friend Christ Jesus has done for us.
“Amen! Lord we bless thee, Born for our Salvation.”
Yes Lord we do honor You, You didn’t have to come, but because you loved us so much, You came down from heaven, to born as one of us, to redeem us from sin.
“Oh Jesus! for ever be thy name adored; Word of the Father, Now in flesh appearing.”
Jesus who was with and is God, who spoke everything into being, clothed Himself in human form, that He could set us free from the power of sin.
“Oh come, let us adore Him.”
Our Lord and Our Friend, deserves adoration. He didn’t have to humble himself like that, but His creation rebelled against Him. The only way we could achieve reconciliation back with God, was for God Himself to do something to restore us back.
He came into this world as one of us, and the story goes on He died as one of us, and rose again for us, so we could surely be free and again walk with Him in fellowship.
Oh come let us adore Him, what a wonderful Savor and friend.
What a wonderful way to share The reason for The Season.
Here is the whole carol sing and enjoy the majesty of the words and their meaning.
Oh Come All Ye Faithful;
1 Oh come, all ye faithful, Joyfully triumphant,
To Bethlehem hasten now with glad accord;
Lo! in a manager Lies the kings of angels;
Oh come let us adore Him, Oh come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
2 Raise, raise, choirs of angels, Songs of loudest triumph:
Through heaven’s high arches be your praises poured;
Now to our God be Glory in the highest;
Oh come, let us Adore Him, Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
3 Amen! Lord, we bless thee, Born for our salvation;
O Jesus! for ever be thy name adored; Now in flesh appearing;
Oh com, let us adore Him, Oh come, let us adore Him, Christ the Lord.
God Bless
